Added second mouse and mouse pad: let's reach 117K and get the USB dongle!

Oh, darn! Just missed this one. Anyone who knows how to reach out to mr Remis, to see if there is a way to get onboard?

If you already have a Kickstarter account, you can log into KS, find this project, click on the link to the creators bio (Lukas Remis) and there you should see a 'contact me' button.

Maybe try this?

Reviving this revival thread. I received the new tank mouse today and connected it to my A4000 using the Mouster adapter. It’s a tad too light to my taste but otherwise feels solid and the buttons are very good.

It works through the Mouster. The only thing I haven’t yet got working, is the touch scroll. I have the scroll wheel enabled in IControl in the 3.2, but that doesn’t seem to have any effect. I wonder if the scroll will only work when connected into an actual USB port? I do remember a regular scroll wheel working through the Mouster.

You have to install and run Cocolino driver from Elbox to enable mouse wheel. Included Freewheel software is not needed with OS3.2.

Received the Tank Mouse and love it !
I have an issue though - not related to the mouse but to cocolino.driver. Once it's started, some file requesters misbehave. For instance the one used in Delitracker (is it ASL ?). After clicking on a file, it gets back to the volumes list. Even if Freewheel is not started.

Did any of you notice it ? (under OS 3.2.1)

I've received both the ones I've order, the dongle and the mousepad. The black one works like a charm, the amiga-colored one has problems with the scrollwheel under windows at least. I'll test with more time in a few days to verify if everything is ok.
So far, I love them!
Ciao,
Giacomo.

Have just picked up my black and beige tank mice

Both works fine so far in Win 10, including scroll on the beige one.

Mine is here. Works well. It's a not as heavy as any of my PC mice. I might try to add weight inside one day.

I've bought a black one and the most disappointing thing is the colour. It's Matt black, rather than a more gloss back. It doesn't match any of the plastic of the CDTV peripherals, keyboard, remote, disk drive (or any black PC keyboard or mouse I have for that matter). I don't know if this was a choice by the developer or a manufacturing accident but I'm slightly disappointed it can't quite pass as a black CDTV mouse when next to a CDTV keyboard.

I’m under the impression that using scroll gesture over time would take away the gloss at that point if it was more glossy although I might be wrong.
I haven’t managed to grab one sadly. Will try and contact the creator from the Kickstarter page (unless alexh doesn’t want his matte one lol)

http://tank-mouse.com/

But it says down at the moment.

Lukas said in a backer post that all backers mice have been shipped end of last week. I imagine he has a few returns and lost parcels to deal with first and then sell sell sell.

Received my mouse today. The mouse itself is nicely done and works well but this "cocolino" driver for db9->usb dongle is rubbish. At least under OS3.2 i have some weird issues with for example ASL file requester and Dopus4.

We really need a better driver!

It uses an open specification called "NewMouse" by Alessandro Zummo so can anyone can write a driver for it?

https://aminet.net/package/driver/input/NewMouse12

Edit: I checked, I don't think so. NewMouse was a closed source mouse driver for PC mice on the Amiga serial port which defined a new interface for mouse wheels. The Cocolino driver is for enhanced mice on the Amiga mouse port, they must also have also used the NewMouse wheel interface to maintain compatibility with existing software.
