The beta version needs some fixes. Sorry for the delay, I'm doing my best.

Status update.

After the feedback I got from the testers, mainly related to the game's too high difficulty level, I made a few changes.

- In the easy level there is an infinite number of lives.
- Different versions of easy and medium/hard levels.
- More tile colors.
- 35 levels (including 6 hidden).

The preorder is only available until the end of February.

Vampire (Icedrake A1200 V4) user feedback on the latest demo: the WB launcher doesn't work for me (IconX output of "Cannot create directory JUMP:S / MakeDir: disk is write-protected", though that could well be user error. The game displays an "Error Loading (6)" message when launched with no startup-sequence.

Hi

Tried running demo on the pistorm32 and with rpi3 it works fine (perfectly), with rpi4 it exits immediately after the Jump! executable is run (it doesn't even setup the screen or load anything, just goes back to cli prompt from which it has been started) - any idea what could cause that?
With snoopdos the only action jump_demo does that I can see is :

OpenLib graphics.library OK

I got information that it doesn't work due to lack of RAD: on ApolloOS.
The game requires almost 2MB of chip memory, so the only way to run the game is to prepare a special startup sequence. The demo loader uses RAD device (with highest priority of boot) to work around this problem.

btw. found out why the demo exits immediately on my A1200... the CLOCK is not set. If the clock is left on as it is on boot (set to 1973 or so) then the demo exits immediately. If the clock is set to some recent date, or just use the RTC then the demo starts and runs without any problems.
Why is this check done Kefir ?

@tomcat666 you totally made my day!!!

I could finally play that Jump! Demo on my V1200... after such a headache. Setting the date really does the trick.

You're welcome. Not sure why the authors didn't mention this anywhere?

It was a bug. The function that reads the date (doslibatestamp) was called in the wrong place. Its result was stored in the D0 register and used as the error value returned by the other function. When this value was zero (the date is not set), the program terminated as an error.

The demo file has been updated.

Will there be an option to have the proper music in from the atari game or are we stuck with the demo placeholder track?

The game comes with four soundtracks and that's more than enough. The soundtracks are not simple mods. The music is divided into percussion and main theme, then mixed with the sound effects during the gameplay.

anyone know how to get this working on FS-UAE? still loads up fine but when choosing game difficulty/etc it just sticks on a blank screen with the music playing.

So is one of the options the Atari soundtrack?
