Netplay on real Amiga hardware?
Hello folks.
Just a quick question to ask if there is anyway of having netplay feature on real Amiga hardware? This would be something which is running 'in the background' so we can can do multi player in real time as in fs uae. I assume it's unlikely and something of this nature does not exist but worth a shot lol Regards, Lesta |

Reviving an old thread, but with the advent of newer software/hardware attachments, I'm wondering whether a kaillera-like server/client was now feasible? I suppose it would work for games running through Workbench already i.e. WHDLoad rather than those booted from floppy disk.

Most of these games still disable multitasking, so nothing can run in the background while playing...

Probably latency is going to be a problem, as these games were written for local serial links.
But, you could just do this using socat: http://www.dest-unreach.org/socat/ Pretty trivial, give it a try. |
