What happens if you mess with CPU speed?
Out of interest, does giana sisters get past the title screen if you try that?

I think the Rainbow Islands issue might be due to the ADF.

No idea why, but NOW Golden Axe runs perfect!

This emulator is great! Thank you!

Now I have this on the go... This just might be the reason I get an android based head unit for the car to have Amiga on the go!

Edit: tried various different versions of Rainbow Islands but same problem with stuck on load and blank screen after Rainbow Project displays. Interestingly, when I changed CPU speed it advanced to show scoreboard but then crashed here instead.

Sound like the same issue I have with PSPUAE. If you mess with CPU speed / timeslice it causes stuff to hang on title screens / loading screens.

Any reason why this might be? Is there a work around?

Reason:
Famec cpu engine (which used by uae4all2) not able to ensure full amiga compatibility.

Solution:
For games which not compatible with uae4all2, try to run them via e-uae.

I agree. This is what I do.
What about adding standard 68k core and switch between the two. This is what Im planning to do with PSPUAE.

Yes that would be great if doable without too much hassle?

Is PSPUAE still being developed? I thought beta 0.8 was last lol. Might have a reason to dig out psp again.

Back to UAE4ALL2:

Is there anyway to display the keyboard that disappears early into emulation? I've tried the button on top left but it brings up standard keyboard without the F keys which is what I need for certain games

Built-in uae4all2 keyboard from old text-gui you can see via '2' and '4' on-screen buttons when both is pressed. But at first you must activate quick switch scheme 1.
But i prefer android keyboards with F keys
For example 'Multiling o keyboards' with linux plugin and full keyboard layout. This keyboard is floating and transparent. It more handy than using old built-in uae4all2 keyboard

That keyboard is better! I've installed Multiling o keyboard and managed to set this up. Would be great if I only had F keys as don't need anything else lol

Hi there,

Having a bit of trouble getting this running on my Nvidia Shield Portable.

- I downloaded Amiga Forever Essentials
- Downloaded UAE4all2
- On A500 or A1200 configuration, it launches the boot screen but will not load anything from DF0. Just doesn't respond in any way after inserting a disk. The demo disk supplied with Forever Essentials, for example, does not load. The workbench disk, strangely, does boot to workbench though.
- I can't get any of my other (zipped) games to run either though. I can select them and mount them to the disk drives, but I can't get the Amiga to boot them. Just stays on the boot screen for A500 and 1200.
- I did move UAE4all2 and Amiga Forever essentials from internal to my SD card. However, they wouldn't boot before the move either.
- I presume the fact that the amiga boot screen runs means that the kickstart roms are detected and fine? Just don't know why after inserting a disk there is no response?

Any help would be appreciated!

Just be careful. The file cannot be standard zip. It has to be a Gzip. I've used ZArchiver to creat Gzip files of my ADFs and saved them as .ADZ

Could this be the issue?

Thanks for the tip. I will try modifying the zip type later on a few of the games.

Since I couldn't get the amiga demo booting that came with Amiga Forever though, maybe that isn't the (only) culprit. I'm fairly sure that wasn't in zip form.

P.S - Am I right in thinking that if it was a kickstart problem, it wouldn't even show the boot screen of the Amiga? If so, some possible problem with file paths of the adf/zip files maybe? Does that make a difference?

Hi, I have set up uae4all2 on my android box, primarily to play SWOS, I have got the game itself working but having a few issues with my controller.
It is a ps1 controller connected through a USB adapter/bridge, the dpad works fine and the buttons seem ok but I am having trouble with the analog stick.
It reads it but behaves a bit wildly, it worked fine on winuae and I have tried fiddling with the config but without success, if anyone knows something I may be missing or a way of configuring it, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That's a possibility. However, you can manually select location for kickstart images in the settings. However, I did not have to following use of Cloanto Amiga Essentials pack.

Problem solved - as expected it was user error!

As it turned out the demo disk that came with Amiga Forever pack does not boot directly. You have to access contents through workbench. So, it did nothing on the boot screen.

Combined with the fact that my games were zipped. They showed up to browse and mount, but would not boot either. Unzipping them allowed them to run.

So, it was all an illusion

Good news. You can gzip them to save on space!

Zip support for uae4all2 depend from Firmware.
With some devices it can work, with others - not.
For example, uae4all2 with my device correct works with zipped adf
