Theme park mystery

I'm wondering if anyone who have finished this strange game can help me out? Or if someone would like to try and finish it, maybe we can help each other out?

The goal of the game is to capture 8 demons (2 per level). I'm currently stuck in Dreamland, the level with the giant chess pieces. An in-game hint says "Checkmate the king for demons" but I don't know how to "checkmate" the two kings. I've tried shooting at it with several objects without success.

There is a walkthrough for the game but it's not very detailed so it doesn't give any hints how to do.

Did you ever get much further. 2 years later I know!

Given this a go myself and would love to see the ending (no longplays on YouTube) and it is quite hard (especially with little to go on in the game manual)

No worries - solved another mystery there at least!

May give this another bash - defo one on my list to see the ending too (along with Suspicious Cargo - on the backburner at the mo due to errors with walkthrough found)

Here I am back with a newly created account and I've made some progress: I've finished Dreamland and Futureland but I'm currenly stuck in Dragonland where I need to fine three more cogs and a casket according to the walkthrough. After that I should be able to finish the game.

If you have any tips on Dragonland, please share them with me.

Only one cog remaining now! I think I know where it is but I can't figure out how to get there!
