Is this a different development from the Phoenix motherboard?

I've answered my own question, yes it is different although the board layout has many similarities.

@Alexh

I believe Ralf helped him with the Schematics from the Phoenix...

Still its lighting work!!! as it appears more of an upgrade to the Phoenix project

comprising of an 030@50mhz 2MB Chip + 8mB Fast... very nice tidy box methinks... oh and a Zorro 2 port as well... RTG anyone...

this would play DOOM in RTG mode

If you are going to the trouble to add an 030 CPU to your PCB (which has a 32-bit address bus), you're gonna add the address lines and CPLD to allow it access more than 8Mbytes arnt you?

I wonder how much it cost him in total, and how long it took to make?

personally i don't think it was a matter of cost for the guy, more personal achievement.

but arguably... i know even in that respect you dont need much of a CPLD for a half decent memory address controller....

Maybe you germans need to stop concentrating on decrepit hobby computing and start making babies, since there'll be none of you left in 100 ears or so
