Do you have anyone to do the music, sfx? If not I could always look into it.
Thanks, dude. I should be able to take the music and effects from MAME. I'm leaving it for the moment, though. As I don't know exactly how much Chip RAM I'll have to play with until all the animation frames for the bobs are drawn and added in.

Thats a very nice looking WIP Old Bob!
I always liked Tapper (actually from the C64 version).
Cheat/Debugmode or not.. Level 9 is very hard to win currently (spawnrate).
(Played it till level 10 =P)

Do you implement the Bonus Stages? I found them too fast on the arcade version (very hard to track the can), but really liked them on the C64 version (a tad bit slower).

The bonus round will eventually be included. The spawn rate is, more or less, the same as the coin-op. It gets a little bit quicker on the later rounds, but not much. Perhaps you just need to get your trigger finger into shape...

Very nice update. The new levels look gorgeous. I didn't reach the Space stage, because it became too fast and hard. The added tips and female dancers are nice touch.
Here is my video with music and sound fx from the original game:

And the bugs I reported in the previous version seems fixed. No more beers passing through stages.

It's interesting that a couple of you got stuck on round 9. That's about as far as I can get playing the game in MAME, but I can get through all the rounds fairly easily in this test version. I may possibly need to tweak the difficulty a touch in future. It's a pity, the alien rounds are my favourite of the ones I've done, so far.

Especially the dancers...

You can download a cheat database & enable cheats, there are cheats for almost every game. Plus use savestates to avoid playing the easy levels.

Great work. It's always good seeing a real arcade game remade.

Yes, dude. It's still ongoing.

Right now I'm just at the end of (as it turned out) a very long Deluxe Paint tunnel.

I've got another three bobs to draw up then I'm mostly done with graphics. After that it just needs a few bits of logic code and sounds adding.

Here's all the ones I've done, so far...

With the last three aliens done, that's all the bob stuff finally finished.

See what you think...

Can't wait to have Tapper on the Amiga. It's my favorite arcade game and the Amiga could always use more faithful arcade ports, the hardware is certainly capable.
