Hi,
I need a 68040 accelerator for my desktop A1200. I'd pay a max of 90 Euros CIF Barcelona (Spain). If anyone is interested, please e-mail me at beltrixx@gmail.com Thanks in advance. |

No-one is going to sell one for 90 euros. Believe me, I've looked
![]() €140-160 is about the norm. http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=220416378134 |

Why don't you have a look at this eBay auction I lost in the last seconds last may 22... ????
The guy who won it got a 68040 accelerator for 78 Euros. Maybe 150 Euros is the usual price but I consider those usual prices are rather expensive and speculative ... Greetings, Manel (beltrixx) Last edited by beltrixx; 25 May 2009 at 13:07. |

I have a broken one (no boot). You can have it for the cost of postage (I am in Australia). Maybe there is someone closer to you who can repair.

Overdose :
Overdose, I would be interested in it if there's a chance to repair it. What does it mean "no boot" ?
By the way, which would be the shipping cost to Barcelona, Spain? Thanks. |

the prize alexh is talking about (that is based in auctions and previous sale prizes) is what you must offer in order to get someone tempted to sell you his 040 accelerator.
You will NOT get a 040 board for your A1200 for 90 eur, unless it is non-working or you get it from a person that has no idea of how much to sell. Or maybe snipe some eBay auctions... I am not trying to critisize you , sure you offer what you can/want to pay, but reality kicks in unfortunatelly.... for 90eur you can't even get a good 030 board... |

well yes, you need to snipe auctions , but those prizes even though they are low do not represent the current "normal" sale ones... 2 against 20...

Prove it, where is the link? Was it available only to Sweden? Was it advertised as working?

Congratulations, Amigil
Congratulations ! for some seconds I thought it was mine, damn!
![]() it was a bargain considering that people here says these are usually sold at 140-150 Eur, but in my opinion paying more than 100 Euros is a waste considering the product's age ... Greetings, beltrixx. |

That maybe your opinion, but you'll have to be realy lucky to snatch one at that price.
If it was a blizzard 1240 they go for even more than the apollo's. |

so what is this becoming, another thread of "we want cheap hardware because amiga is aged" ???? LOL dream on, if you wanna use your amiga in 2009 with "amiga-super-cpu's" prepare to pay the price or else stick with the stock config
sure GOOD DEALS are possible in everything including amiga hardware, but don't expect them to come all the time, and cetrainly do not moan if "prices are insane" , WE are all insane because we all still use amigas ![]() |
