Amiga 1200 Shenannigans

I have 5 ACA accelerators and they seem to be engineered in such a way that they don't tolerate some configurations. .

My latest purchase from Amigakit is an ACA 1221ec which I thought would be neat. Trouble is the Workbench glitches and Guru's when a floppy is inserted into DF0: and DF1:, if attached, is unreadable. Runs ok otherwise.

I guess I felt I "know my own system" but this tech is proving an approach that is speculative at best.

My other dilemma is disk-analyse from the disk-utilities package on Github by Keir Fraser. Initially, IPF images were promoted as a genuine representation of the original software on disk. After SPS stopped generating "Official" images, disk-analyse is the only available encoder for ipf's other than the few SPS encoders that are out there.
Trouble is disk-analyse generated IPF images don't always work when written to disk and installing these ipf images with WHDLoad installs hasn't worked for me. WHDLoad using capimage.device and other WHDLoad subroutines for images hasn't been able to open the ipf images generated by disk-analyse. I have has success with SPS images here.

Maybe I'm grumbling, but it's disheartening when what you're led to believe doesn't hold out.

Getting glitches when floppy disk is accessed smells like it could be a voltage drop issue. Check power supply, if not done yet recap the board. Check floppy power cable and data cable for intermittent contact or a break.

I've tried 2 psu's, both new ones with high output etc. Mobo is recapped and timing fix done a few years ago.

TBH some of the ACA 1221ec solder points on the mobo header seem to have bridged, my sight isn't good enough but I'd expect the card to have been tested before sale. The floppy works fine with other ACA cards.
