Apollo 1230 Turbo (SCSI onboard)
![]() Recently won an auction for an Apollo 1230 Turbo + SCSI. Fully aware that it is untested and unknown if it works or not. This one: http://bboah.com/index.php?action=ar...917&artlang=en Arrived this morning, seems as described. But one or two things caught my eye! 1. There is an eprom chip near the edge connector, looks like a 28pin jobbie. It has one leg missing but from a google search appears to be not connected anyway. The socket is missing the inside metal contact? 2. The large Mach chip in the centre of the board appears to have been removed at some point and replaced or put back in? I have yet to test it in an a1200, will try tonight. Cannot tell if the battery is bad either... seems clean around the area with no green muck. any thoughts? will also do a clean of the contacts etc beforehand. |
