Hello from London

Hi everyone,

I live in North London but have had Amiga's since the A500 first appeared in Silica Shop in Sidcup, Kent.

I still have that same A500 and everything else I ever bought and I'm surprised when I open a Box and find something I forgot I actually bought.
1200's with one towered which is what brought me back into the Scene again and this Board. You've probably seen my BPPC post in the last few days with an issue with my BPPC not booting.

I don't feel I ever left, just be in the background but trying to keep up on various info. It's amazing how much comes flying back when you get back into this scene, and the people are just as good today as they were back then.

I look forward to being a part of the community again and hoping I can help others along the way.

Welcome back to the Amiga scene Capeview. As you already know I am a BPPC user and have been since they were released, back in the day!

You should soon start to feel like a teenager all over again, very soon! < Thanks to the power of Amiga !

Welcome to EAB Northerner
I'm south of the river. Bought many things from Silica, which was very local to me at the time.

Hi Capeview, and welcome to EAB!

The Silica Systems shop is still in just the same place as it was back then. It doesn't sell Amigas any more, of course, only bespoke IT systems for commercial customers, and the Silica Systems name has been dropped as well.

No way! I was in Sidcup last year for my Uncles wedding. Hadn't been there for years. It's much nicer these days.
