How to close amiga forever?

So I can't figure out how to get out of an amiga desktop, other than by right clicking on amiga forever and shutting the whole thing down that way. I've clicked on the screen corner and answered "yes" to "do you want to quit workbench" but then a grey screen remains. What's the shutdown button?

Edit: Unfortunately, still no-go.
I'm left with a workbench screen that appears completely non-functional after selecting yes to "do you want to quit." I'm completely confused as to why I'm not immediately seeing a simple quit function. Alt plus every button I've tied doesn't do anything at this point.

Do you have the play and stop buttons on the top of the emulation window? If you press and hold the 'esc' key, the mouse pointer switches back to Windows control from Amiga control. You can then click on the stop button (a square shape). It will pop up a requestor asking you some questions and then you click ok. I have version 8 by the way.

No buttons. It looks like a pretty standard amiga desktop. I'm going to have to find a way to post pics.

Are you running full screen? What version are you using?

From the main window right click the workbench/game and choose shut down

During Amiga Forever Emulation (in full screen or window) you can simply hit F12 for the WinUAE dialog, and choose Quit - I quit mine this way all the time

Amiga Forever entry into WinUAE and normal straight access to WinUAE work differently.

It's HOLD ESC for Amiga Forever to pull your mouse from the Amiga workbench screen.
It's MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON to pull you mouse out, and F12 for option and configurations in WinUAE when accessed directly. aka. not through Amiga Forever.

Holding down escape pulled me out of full screen and I could see the various buttons for the first time.
f12 allowed me to select quit.
