Is a Hdf with CD Audio possible?
Is it possible to encode a hdf with the audio information from a CD32 game.
e.g. if I play Chaos Engine (CD32) using the cue file - I get the audio introduction. If I use a hdf file - I don't get the audio introduction. Is it possible to encode the cd soundtrack somehow? thanks |

Well, a HDF represents a hard disk drive, not a CD drive. If the game wants to play back CD audio tracks, there is no way to redirect it to harddrive. You could store the entire bin/cue files on the HDF and use a virtual CD drive in AmigaOS. But that's much the same as using a virtual CD drive in WinUAE which appears as real CD drive in AmigaOS.

thanks for the reply...
fair enough - I thought I would ask. The summary I take from your reply is -> if I want the CD audio tracks - use bin/cue. if I don't mind losing the CD audio tracks - use a hdf.. |

Yes I think that is the case. Genetic Species is one where the CD audio is fantastic, but had to be loaded separately
