Quick question

One last question in a bid to get rid of my n00bness:

When an add-on card is intalled with a cpu on it, does it take over from the onboard cpu or do they work together?

That probs sounds like a stupid ques, but a work colleague jus asked me and i dont honestly know lol

The expansion card takes over - an '030 would override the built-in '020, for instance.
