Possible to use WPA2-PSK?
Hi! I have an Wifi-card for my Amiga 1200. I don't get it to work. I have in the past, but I think I was forced to run just WPA, and my router doesn't support that.
I know Pi-Storm can use WPA2 in some alpha stage. But is it possible to do with an old PCMCIA nowadays? Prism2v2 justs uses WPA am I right? I don't want to buy a PiStorm. So is the only solution to get a PCMCIA card with cat-cable? Thanks. |

I reply to myself here. I now have more info. It depends on the hardware. Most PCMCIA cards are just WPA and can't mostly not be flashed to WPA2. There exists some PCMCIA cards that support WPA2 tho.

Yep Netgear MA401 supports WPA2 with a firmware update iirc.

i think most are using lower standards of WPA or nothing at all and just do not broadcast their wifi channel, trying to keep it hidden, handy if your router can make a wifi channel just for your amiga and you isolate it from the rest of your network just incase of issues.

Wouldn't a weird connection with a bridge be the most secure option?
