Thanks guys. I've applied the A1000 fix to all versions of the game (floppy, LHA and CD)

@Wavemaker

Cheers. For this release, the intention was to keep it as faithful to Bruce Carver's original game and Adrian Cumming's original graphics as possible (with a handful of exceptions, such as removing the US Gold logo, adding a sound track and offering additional control options). We are planning to make a 'spiritual sequel' that will have new graphics and gameplay, but we figured it was worthwhile having a completely faithful release out there too.

I can only get as far as the Kremlin part too (8:25), what do you have to do to get past this part of the level?

Take out all six snipers, the tank, and the doors (you just need to find the white door, which is chosen at random). The snipers regenerate every 30~ seconds, my strategy is to find the white door first, take out the snipers and leave the tank for last.

The AI is the same as the C64 version - they aim with almost perfect precision at the place you were when they last fired. So when you hear a gunshot, if you're standing in that spot ~5 second later, you're toast.

Tanks are only deadly if you're staying perfectly still. If you move even slightly, it'll reset his countdown timer.

I did a developer commentary/walkthrough/strategy guide thing, but it's kind of crap.. if anyone really wants it, I can post it to youtube.

Thanks for the advice, the snipers respawning every 30 seconds is my main problem as I'm too slow and inaccurate to take them out quickly enough but I'll try your approach. Is there any need to blow up the towers aswell?

There's no need to take out the rest of the Kremlin - though there's a cool easter egg from the original game where the top towers can be used to crush the tank. Just the right door, the tank and the six men.

It takes a bit of practice and trial and error to get everything aligned. Sometimes, after I've successfully hit a sniper, I immediately move to the other side of the screen to take out the opposite one (since I'm already aligned at the right height).

After crashing my plane hundreds of times against the hangar walls I managed to finish the game and even write a review for K&A Plus #16

I'd love to see the remake featuring different maps for each city.

I played the game many hundreds of times on the C64. One of my favorites. Thanks for the port.

One of my favourite C64 games. I can't wait to try the Amiga version out. Thanks for your hard work!

This game rocks!
I'd certainly buy a boxed version of it if it would be ever released...

Experimental Amiberry / A500 mini package if anyone wanted to test it:

https://mega.nz/file/h6pk1CaC#D6yp8r...c7ckVP9SRCT7JU

Instructions - Extract to the games folder (it includes an "OL" save file with defaults for mini), add this to the whdload_db.xml file underneath the line that contains "whdbooter"

<game filename="raid_over_moscow">
<name>Raid Over Moscow</name>
<slave_count>1</slave_count>
<slave_default>raid_over_moscow.slave</slave_default>
<slave_libraries>False</slave_libraries>
<slave number="1">
<filename>raid_over_moscow.slave</filename>
<datapath>data</datapath>
</slave>
PORT1=CD32
</game>
