Did anyone ever apologise for rise of the robots?
The game was so bad, I wonder if anyone who worked on it made an apology or offered any excuses...?

I had some ideas for this game in Amiga times.
- remove main and robots intros to reduce disks and loading time - allow to play in 1 player mode all robots, not just cyborg - using only one move should made cheater dizzy for few seconds - Loader should have some special weapon as this robot is not designed to fight hand to hand |

It is a turd among a dozen turds that are released every year. Why apologize for that which is a constant?

@ gimbal, it was special in that NO OTHER game ever had the level of hype that ROTR had. Someone somewhere must be ashamed of it.

The were many much worse games like e. g. E.T (VCS 2600,), Rolling Thunder (C64), ProSoccer 2190 (Amiga) or the bad James Bond titles, some hyped, some not.

It's a terrible game, but theres plenty of games just as bad. A number of Sega arcade "conversions" for example.

Free internets?! Awesome how can I spend them?
The people involved (with one sad exception) may still be about. Does anyone have contact with them? http://hol.abime.net/1244 Their Amiga CVs are very short though... Last edited by DDNI; 18 December 2012 at 14:07. |

I checked in YouTube the versions of Amiga, Snes, Megadrive, 3DO and all play like crap. The Amiga version is the worst of them all even technically. Sprites frames not smooth at all. SNES had great music though.

Prawo Krwi had nearly same level of hype in Poland. And it's worse than Rise of the Robots.

I bought this 'stagnant pool of horse wank' for the PC, 14 HD floppies!! It took longer to install than to finish it, someone wanted castrating for releasing it!! Then to release ROTR 2, OMFG!!!

Someone in marketing probably got a massive bonus and a pat on the back for shifting so many copies! He likely works in Apple now hyping up iShite hardware
