CD32 Jurassic Park
Hey guys
I just wondered if anyone has ever got Jurassic Park AGA working on a stock CD32? I have tried with the making kit from the file server but I guess it just needs more ram. Shame this was not released as an actual CD32 game. Also when making your own game disc, how do you know which games will and wont run? When the ISO is made and winuae boots it you can't actually test it because the whdload version only works on a real CD32, or thats what the error says i think. This is using this software: AMIGA CD32 Games Compilation Toolkit 1.1, is this the best one to use? It sure is nice and easy to setup, and fast. Cheers |

Depends really; if you are trying to make a compilation of 5 or more games then that toolkit is great. For four or less games (or even single game discs) it's probably better to make a custom startup script and use ISOCD (that comes with the leaked official C= CD tools).
Check some of the more recent discs at www.rgcd.co.uk -> projects -> CD32 to see how I did it. With regard to JP AGA, I don't really know the game, but if you are using a proper HD install with assigns, it *might* work. You won't be able to save progress though. If you are using WHDLoadCD32/WHDLoad then the CD32 might not have enough RAM. I cannot tell without reading the slave info (I'm at work). |

Hi
Thanks for that link I will check that out. I don't think JP can be installed to the HD from disks so it has to use the WHDLoad version I wonder if the none AGA version uses less Ram.. I have tried a few times with the whdload all I get is a black screen when I try to load it. Think I may be out of luck with this one Cheers m8 |

You need 2.0 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem for AGA version.
You need AGA chipset. You need at least a 68020 processor. You need 1.0 MB ChipMem and 0.5 MB OtherMem for ECS version. |

Guys you all rock. The ECS version does indeed run great on the CD32. Only nightmare is one of the buttons on the pad exits then game.............. Annoying
Think I might build a CD32 disc with every AGA game that will run without ECS stuff. I guess adding my own whdload key speeds loading up as well? Thanks again guys |

When I did try it from the whdload install all I get is a black screen when loading and disc stops reading. It flashes loading the ECS version. The AGA version is much better which is a shame. |

I spent awhile trying, but as Boo Boo said there is a CD32 version somewhere. Could ask Wepl if its possible to alter current slave to run on CD32. Or maybe JOTD, he done a BETA HD installer for JST. It did require Disk 2 be inserted for Copy Protection stuff. Maybe that could be altered to point to adf of Disk 2. |

If the game its self makes use of the 2mb Chip I dont think there will be any memory left for WHDload.

The guy never came back did he Epic Fail I don't get this bit "hence 5 amigados disks for the cracked versions" I can't check right at this point but does that mean the cracked ones can actually be copied and use assigns if they are amigados? I thought they were NDOS. Or maybe I totally missed the point I notice he said the CD32 version was amigados as well. |

Hmm that's a bugger then.
Also FOL thanks very much for trying to get it to boot. I wonder if anyone has amigados disks or the cd32 disc itself. I don't think anyone will have apart from the guy in that other thread. |

So a WHDLoad AGA version would work great with my 1200 with accelerator and extra RAM?

The only way would be to extract all the files as real files from the disks with RAWdic for whdload
