[ongoing] Wolfling
Hello eab,
here's an early scrolling-test of a new action adventure for the Amiga - working title: "Wolfling" (test graphics only) If you want to test it yourself: wltest1.zip (nothing spectacular so far) The game is based on the Powerglove Reloaded low level code, so it should run on an Amiga A500 with 1 MB (or better). It will be an advanced version of the NES game Wolfling, which has been made for the 2017 nesdev programming compo, see here: nesdev-thread |

nice work Lazycow, really like the animations posted in the other forum. The morphing character reminded me of the isometric Amstrad game Kight Lore.

I always love your games and I can't wait to try this!
I'm still hoping in Monsters of Terrors V.1.1... it is already one of my favorite games but with a few bug-fixes/enhancements it would be even better! Thanks for your contribution to the Amiga scene!!! |

Gives me a Vampire's Empire kinda vibe. I like.
...but that video. Nearly half of the video is a very loud intro! |

Ahhh Lazycow I love you! What are you doing there now? Is this a Metroidvania?
I hope to be alive by the time it gets released ;-) |

YES! Looking much forward to another game by you. Powerglove is so great (not the "no savepoints/level codes" implementation :-P (hint)) with a perfect physical release! I hope RGCD will release this game, too, once it's done.

Ahh! When I got your mail a few days ago I already hoped that you might be on a new project, so I tried to support you as much as possible.
Great! I'm looking forward to it. |

Update: I have adjusted the blitting functions to work with Wolfling and most of the rooms are playable now! Here're some of the new game elements of the advanced version. (test graphics only) The hero can swim. (Quite unusual for a platform game, I know) And yes, she's a werewolf. (or is she a wolfwere?) Anyway, this doesn't mean that the game will be finished anytime soon, because... - no Amiga graphics, yet - parallax doesn't work, yet - no Amiga music, yet - the two new levels aren't finished, yet @jurassicman: The Monsters V1.1 project is currently frozen. (it might be defrosted when Wolfling is finished) @Puggsy: Wolfling is probably not a real metroidvania, because there're seperate levels with no backtracking instead of a single open game map. @Clydos: Yes, savepoints have been the top request for Powerglove Reloaded. (and for Wolfling V1.0) And yes, there will be a (boxed) RGCD release - more infos: RGCD-news Thank you all for the feedback! Last edited by Lazycow; 10 June 2019 at 12:12. |
