Looking for Release copies of A64

I am the author of A64 - the Commodore 64 Emulator for the Amiga. Unfortunately all the source code and release copies I had were lost in a fire. Such a great piece of history gone forever . I am looking for release copies that I can put up for free download on my website http://www.cliffdugan.com. I want to put together a page or two dedicated to A64 for historical purposes.

Thanks.
Cliff Dugan

Hi Cliff and welcome to EAB!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this site has version 3.01d it seems : http://www.fairlight.to/tools/amiga.html

Thanks for the quick reply. version 3.01d is the demo version that only runs for 10 minutes - the latest registered versions were 3.0 and 3.1 with no letter in the version. I'm interested in getting any and all the registered versions (especially the latest) - I already have all of the demo versions listed on my site: http://www.cliffdugan.com/A64Downloads.aspx. BTW: I'm working on the A64 pages in my site as I type this so info is changing.

Good Amiga Emulator

Also, I no longer have an Amiga if anyone could recommend a good Amiga emulator to test the files I'm making available for download. That is something: a PC emulating an Amiga that's emulating a C64. I never would have thought it was possible.

If you run Windows that is. For Linux/Mac it's either http://www.rcdrummond.net/uae/ or http://github.com/GnoStiC/PUAE.

I also have a pair of original disks, v.3.0 as well so I guess the matter is already solved.

Maybe not. Mad-Matt's version is an LHA archive. Original disk images may be preferable.

Cliff is hosting a mixture of LHA archives and DMS disk images on his site. So please go ahead and upload it anyway.

So what format is preferable? I thought adf or adz was most common for Amiga-disks nowadays.

I would suggest you upload them as ADF images in a ZIP or RAR archive, and Cliff can convert them to DMS to match the other disk images on his website.

Thanks to everyone for uploading versions. I have most of them listed on my site. I need to take some time and go through them and double check versions and release dates. I'll try to get them all in the same formats. Its great that everyone helped me to put this together. Now anyone can still download A64 (I know its not used much these days, but it is great from a nostalgic point of view).

Are you getting the Commodore 64 Start Screen? If so you can load C64 programs from your Amiga drives. If you don't have any programs for the C64 there are tons available for download. Maybe someone could point you in the right direction - to be honest I haven't even see a C64 program in quite some time. But, now that I set up the A64 page I'm kinda feeling nostalgic and will be testing and look at things. Does some one know of a good archive of freely available C64 programs?
