I need help configuring Amithlon!

I have managed to get hold of a copy recently, and have got most of the initial setup done.

Drives are partitioned, AmigaOS XL installed

Kickstart 40.63
Workbench 45.2

Now its in this virgin state, I need to apply the relevant updates.

I have them on my PC - how do I get them onto the Amithlon PC?

It appears that USB isnt supported at the moment, and the only optical disc I had any success with reading files from is the AmigaOS disc.

Got a little more configured, Nice 800x600 BGRA screen, audio seems to be working fine.

Stuck with USB devices now, would really like to get the mouse working!

Then its networking..

ANY help would be most appreciated.

Hi jimmy2x2x,

Let's get this clear: is it Amithlon you've installed or AmigaOS XL?

They are two completely different installations, but both are installed using the Amiga OS XL CD set.

If I am understanding this correctly:

Amithlon
Boots straight into the Amiga environment and appears to be running natively.

AmigaOS XL
Runs on top of a QNX x86 operating system

I am running Amithlon with the supplied AmigaOS 3.9 install disk, this proudly shows the 'Amiga OS XL' logo when you boot into the AmigaOS installed partition.

Yes, you are correct. So it is Amithlon you are running.

Phew!

I swapped out my motherboard and now my mouse works straight away

Next two things are networking and accessing fat32 partition on same disk.

Currently reading the 12 pages of charlies thread!
