RTC not detected. Not seeing full 1MB of memory.
I recently built a Raemixx 500 board and it is mostly working. It has two issues:
Issue #1. The RTC is not detected. It is possible that I have bogus Epson RTC chips (RTC72421) as they were purchased on eBay. Is there any way to test these? Issue #2. There is 1MB of memory installed on the mainboard, but the system only sees 512KB. I've tried swapping around RAM chips, and tried all the chips in the lower 512KB and all worked there, so the RAM is good. I've tried the J2 jumper in both positions. What else could stop the system from seeing the second 512KB? I have tried a different 68000 and Gary chip with no change. Agnus is a 8375R0 390544-01 so should easily support 1MB. I'm near Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Strathmore) and was wondering if there were any Amiga trouble shooters in the area.
