Blitz Basic 2 Version 1.7 !

Yesterday I was given another Amiga 2000 and with it some Software. I found BlitzBasic 2 Version 1.7 that comes on three disks, but unfortunately, the second disk is corrupt

Has anyone here a working second Disk ?? Would be really kewl .....

Now that is a coincidence! I dug up my original DMS file that I downloaded back in 1993 and proceeded to un-DMS it to a blank disk, only to find out that the DMS file is corrupt! It expanded about 70 tracks and had a crc error. Apparently this is the way it was spread back then, so that copy you received must have been from the same dms file!

I feel certain this title was released by other groups (especially after the bogus disk 2 snafu).

Anyone else have a clean copy of disk 2, as I need a copy, as well!

I have 2.1 as a HD Version, it´s available on Emulation Nation, but it´s not working on my A1200 (dunno why, but it won´t compile anything

Version 1.7 is working kewl, but without the second disk, there are some libraries missing and some source won´t compile without them. Sadly enough the error messages don´t tell me WHICH libraries are missing

So it would be kewl, if anyone could upload a working disk. Btw. Twistin´ Ghost : have you tried converting the DMS to an ADF and tested it on an Emu ? Sometimes that works with broken DMS files for me....

Well, I first used DMS2ADF, which created an adf that was about 600k, so I just deleted that. Then I tried un-dms'ing it, when it got the error. It wasn't a completely blank disk, so I can try it again on a freshly formatted disk/adf and up it if you like. No telling what will be missing, but it can't hurt.

OK, the DMS2ADF version I spoke of before was 833536, so that's pretty close. The last track that DMS writes is 73. I looked the dirs over and it looks pretty complete, so it may actually be a go. I will post it now to the ADFZone.

I have a version 1.9 at home, so tonight i'll check if it's ok and then upload the 2nd disk.

I assume that there won't be so many differences on the 2nd disk between the 1.7 and the 1.9.

I have a 2.1 version working in my A1200, and i remember i had to change something in the basic installation to make it compile everything perfectly (something to do with libraries).

So if you wish i could give you some advice/missing files (or even ADFs) to let you use the newer version.

But I´m sure I have all installed well, also made the assigns to Blitz2: and BlitzLibs: in the startup-sequence !!

Could you perhaps upload the complete Version 1.9 ??? That would be really kewl ......

Cause the Problem is, when I try to compile any source, the BlitzBasic 2 CLI Window opens, but thats it, no Debug Window, nothing...... the program just hangs, so it would be really kewl, if I can get the 1.9 Version to compile some of my old sources again

Well....... I almost "repaired" the Image of the Second disk

not quite perfekt, but most of the examples can be loaded now..... I will upload that to ADF-Zone l8r, quite busy right now..... maybe you Guys wanna download it

I Know this thread is old but I have a version on my HD which is about 30Mb unpacked, I might pack it and upload it if wanted.

It is version 2.1 and is quite up2date as regards to libs etc.. with many custom libs and the wb3.1 libraries converted and working. I can also include the lame manual..
