Rock Star Ate My Hampster

Loved this game, but never really "won" at it. (Just been watching something about Cliff Richard (Or Pilchard in the game) and thought I'd fire it up again but no matter how much I would spend during the game I'd rarely get to number 1.

Are there any tricks and tips for doing well at it?

I never rename anything as lifes too short, and cannot tell if the tracks are supposed to be good or not. The practice songs all sound pretty similar to me.

Even with the guide it's very hard. A trainer may be useful though. Infinite cash and stuff..

Thanks lordofchaos, I had actually forgotten that the save load feature is just to memory. It's very handy. I have found a trained version with unlimited money that works well, still not got to the coveted number one though. Not had much chance to play it yet though.

The cheat with F8 seems like a winner though.
