Setting full duplex speed in Genesis? PCMCIA card

Hello,
anyone knows is there a way to set 3c589.device or cnet.device to work in full duplex mode in Genesis prefs?

Is there some guide or something?

I read somewhere you can seti it in ENV:Sana2/3c5890.config file

but si see no directory "Sana2" in ENV:

Thanks for your help.

That's just the location for the config. You can copy that to wherever you like as long as location is set.

You copy that over from the sana2 drivers to that folder to simply things.

Ok, but can these cards/drivers even work in full duplex mode?
Is it possible to achieve near 10mbps with them?

3c589.device does not support full duplex, so there are no settings to change in that regard (in fact, the driver never uses a config file at all). Although most of the compatible cards can support full duplex, they are not capable of autonegotiating the duplex setting with the other end of the link, so it arguably isn't worth the trouble.

See this page about the Linux driver for those 3Com cards, particularly the yellow warning box: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/late...com/3c509.html

I vaguely remember that it may be possible to force cnet.device to attempt full duplex if you believe the card is capable of it, but I'm almost sure that isn't settable through Genesis, at least not with a simple checkbox or similar.

You said CNET driver could do it?
Any guide how to?

I have other card Genius ME3000II(SE) which works with cnet.device driver.

I might have misremembered: I downloaded the CNET driver package now and there are no matches on the word "duplex" in the entire archive.
