Question Amiga HD->HDF file

a mate of mine wants to copy his entire amiga HD (260Mb) into a .hdf image for use with WinUAE. How could this be done? Any ideas?

He could use the actual hard drive itself on the PC and mount it in WinUAE. Then the files can be copied to a hdf file.

Using Amiga Explorer, she/he can copy her/his HD to PC directly in .hdf format but this will take forever.

It never did run fine here. You'll crash far less often with Win2k.

Just download TSGui from Aminet which can be used to read/write adf and hdf files

Excellent! but now I'm in trouble... I need to connect the old A600 HD to my A1200, and back up to the 1200's HD. Otherwise, how would I do the trick? :P

Oh shite.

I chucked a cd-rw drive on my amiga and backed up my hd image with LHA/LZX and then unpacked it with Winuae and copied it to a HDF
