Warhead

I'm sure somebody has posted something like this before but...

Can anyone please tell me where I can find a working Warhead copy and guide in the requirements of the system? I'm going mad about this. I could play the game fine on 512k on my miggy!

Um...it'll run at the same speed whatever crack you use, why wouldn't it? What are your system specs?

What do you mean crack?

The only problem I have is that it goes software failure in every config I use, and that's the problem, I don't seem to understand if there is any special thing I should be doing (like AGA, not use chip RAM or something...)

Give us an example of a config you typically use, including kickstart etc.

You are not going to believe this!

I was trying a different combination, my 14th, to show you, sure it would crash, and it worked! It bloody worked! At last!

Here's the config, in case someone has the same problem I had:

68040
Chip Set Extra A500
Match A500 Speed
KS 1.3
AGA
512K Chip Ram, All Else NONE
Cycle Exact CPU
Faster RTG
Sprites & Sprites vs. Starfield
100% accurate emulated sound

Cheers!

Very strange config you are using there, why use an 68040 CPU and AGA Chipset??? The game is ECS / OCS...

Quickstart A500 settings with "Cycle exact CPU and Blitter" added should work fine

If it doesn't try disabling the 2nd FDD (if not already done) and removing the 512KB Slow Ram...

Just downloaded a version (1 of 3) of it just for fun. First try, first config and it works. To make it easy for you I just selected the quickstart amiga 500 config and ran the game... no problem.

My quickstart didn't have Cycle exact, and it works....

This is not a hard to emulate game.. the problem is that I think he makes his own config and donno what everything does .

A lot of people didn't understand the meaning of "Quickstart" or overlook it. They try to change all settings manually under "Hardware", that's the problem.

Oki . Personally I only activate it if a game doesn't work properly... as it just uses up more cpu power when activated... and can make som stuff run slower no matter how fast you computer is.

I don't like them, I have always made my own... which makes the games run better... like Microcosm, that game doesn't run with the quickstart CD32 config as it has "fastest possible but maintain..." activated in that config.... could just be my version though, still using 1.3.1 and still havn't gotten a reason to update.

OT

Skeletor...... his face should be yellow, like in the cartoon... why did they give him a white face in the movie?.... well, guess because skeletons ARE white.... but they shouldn't change the original!

Hint:

Warhead

The very first time you attack the berserker, hit him with everything
you have, including the MDC. He will then keep following you. When
Solbase says to take him anywhere, go to CH010 and he will get sucked
into a black hole.

To evade missiles, your best bet is to fly away backwards in front of
them at a range of about 3000m.
Might help ya, somewhere...
