That is why we, for the sake of our website, try to avoid the mess of identifying an exhaustive list of publishers. Personally, I find the question of the developer much more interesting usually, but reaching back to this early age, it's usually impossible to find out.

This weekend, we have a recent "retro" style Spectrum game. Rival Gangs, released last Christmas, takes the GTA formula and gives it its own spin.

Today, a second look at Balance of Power: The 1990 Edition (Amiga version). Even if it simulates a different world than the one we know today, it still works!

Ninja Carnage is a modern-day (released last year) "retro" style trial & error game for CPC, Spectrum and the C64. Short play time, but enjoyable while it lasts!

We celebrate our 22nd anniversary with myself and another regular teaming up and diving into Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals. It is literally the only boxed Sierra adventure game I own. Unfortunately, the Amiga port is quite sloppy in typical Sierra style.

I just finishing reading your article about Larry 3, which I still need to replay in order to verifiy that my disk transfers worked.
It's been a while since I last finished Larry 2, which I enjoyed more than I thought I would. I'm curious if I'll enjoy Larry 3 as much. |

Questprobe Featuring Spider-Man – Scott Adams' last foray before going out of business. Just imagine what this licence would be worth today!

The latest additions are EarthSiege and Battledrome, the first two entries to Dynamix' Metaltech series. The former was a big deal at the time, but hasn't aged all that gracefully in my view, unfortunately. The latter was a joke even back then

Sherlock Holmes: Another Bow is a game which, on reflection, I maybe rather respect more than I enjoy it. What it attempted was not far from revolutionary. Too bad it was dismissed so much at the time and stayed below the radar ever since then.

I was quite anxious about trying MechWarrior 2 again. Having played it quite extensively in the mid-90s, I feared it would be too demanding, too complex and maybe just too awkward these days. Boy, was I mistaken!
