WinUAE crashes on exit
Hi Toni!
WinUAE crashes on exit from time to time. So far, I haven't been able to figure out under what circumstances it crashes. It happens on both computers here: desktop AthlonXP2500 and VAIO VGN-FS295VP, both with DirectX9. I am using WinXP+latest patches and WinUAE1.2.0/AmiKit. Dump files are attached... |

Happens to me too a bit, especially using AmiKit.. But I figure since it's doing it when I'm exiting and not causing any major damage, I can live with it.

I'm also too lazy to report bugs if they are minor ones . Noticed a few....

Toni has fixed a similar crash, available in next public version (1.3).
Possibly one of you guys had ANOTHER WinUAE instance open at the same time, not just one? Last edited by andreas; 11 July 2006 at 02:48. |

Seems to have something to do with filesystem unmounting. (for some reason winuae crash dump stack strace is always totally bogus.. maybe something to do with JIT)
Does it stop crashing if you remove all unnecessary directory filesystem drives? Do you have program running that continuously polls drive(s)? Hard to fix without having simple test case andreas: the feature that caused the crash isn't in official 1.2.... |

Btw. what does it means: "polls drive(s)" ? Any example of program doing this? |

There are programs like VolInfo/VolWatch which scan all mounted drives to display volume information (mounted disks, volume size / free space etc). |

well, this time even stranger things happened... The emulator crashes on reboot, sometimes immediately, and sometimes in the middle of the next boot process - but only after the system was rebooted. Not during the very first boot.
