Thanks for the upload JLPedro Works like a charm
The version is more colourful, but the parallax scrolling looks exaggerated and Jim doesn't look like Jim I have to admit that the increased number of colours is really nice on the Dos version...

thanks Pedro

and I have to admit now that the PC version is the winner
the animated movements of the hero are perfect....the music & sounds .... great
colours and parallax perfect....!!!

PC version it's the best version by far west

btw,

there's a bug on the game or maybe on dosbox...I played it about until I lost all lifes and the game crash and I can't start again

can anybody confirm if the game crash after you lost all lifes??

anyody have a trainer for this little gem?

I've played till lost all lives and the game doesn't crash... i have set the dosbox mem to 32mb and increase / decrese speed to 100. In the game dosbox sets speed to 3000 and i press CTL + F12 to Rise to 5000 to give more smotness. all other option remain standard.

There's another two games that really hit the Amiga, being better on the PC, they are LollyPop And Turrican II (I'll probably get banned for saying this kind off things...).

Lollypop : Yes, the PC version is really nice and besides the music better than the Amiga version.
Turrican II : The PC version is utter crap IMHO It's the main reason I started using WinUAE If there's one game that belongs on the Miggy it's Turrican II for sure

The PC version of Turrican II is pretty good, only a different graphic style. Maybe the best DOS Run & Gun game. Don't forget Super Street Fighter II Turbo, the DOS version is extremly superior.

The reason why the controls don't work on Dos versions is because the game has to be installed, otherwise when you type jim.exe and the title screen comes up no keys will work apart from the esc key.
Type install c:, game will install to jimpower directory, then it will work. You can then move and rename this directory and it will still work. Don't know why this is. Also pressing escape key during gameplay will alow you to change other options (parallal scrolling layers etc).

Yes, in fact I uploaded the instaled directory of JimPower. As for Turrican II, the amiga music is unbeatable, the PC graphics are better, playability is the same, and yes the main caracter looks better on Amiga!

Mmmh, the DOS music is the emulated/converted Amiga music iirc. Sounds pretty good. I don't like the graphic style, but it's fun to play.

Yes the music and sounds are pretty identical on Turrican II for Amiga and PC. Guess you're right about the best run 'n gun on the PC part, but that they changed the graphics of this great game is a pure no-go for me

It's already preinstalled in the zone. Why do you need the installer?
