Scart + HDMI Converter
Sounds like a good idea to change the amiga signal to hdmi, so i found this device and some people who got in running.
http://www.amazon.com/CKITZE-BG-460-...csl+scart+hdmi But function is only a could and not a must with the amiga. I only get a black / dark grey picture with a bit of workbench headline on the screen. I'm sure this belongs to my scart cable that was shipped with 12V over 150 ohm to blanking 16, what results to 0.3 volts. The converter runs well with an old dvd player and cable receiver scart. So if someone have such device running on his / her amiga, let's talk about Bye Solderbro |

I have a similar converter and as it has been discussed before, they have a decent picture quality but are useless for most games due to a high latency. Normal SCART inputs on TVs usually have a lower delay.

The people who complain about Amiga--->SCART--->HDMI--->1080p only say that some fast 2D scrolling games are fuzzy compared to conversion to component input; these two individual's subjective opinion should not be a condemnation of the devices use. I get an excellent picture in hires for my uses, with Lemmings (the only 2D scrolling game I've played) looking great. Workbench looks fine in hires.

Have three types of rgb cables here. Amigakit produce a plain white screen through the box, cableguy (ebay) and vesalia produce a solid black screen with flickering topline. Maybe the CSL box use newer hardware that is unable to process the amiga signal.
Why i want to use it? Masterpart in my av equipment is a denon avr x2000 which can deal and switch hdmi inputs including sound. The TV itself, a chinese tcl dislike the amiga rgb signal, with all three cables above i get black screens after few minutes, like a blank signal. Should buy another box or a new tv, hmm..... |
