Lyra 3. Keyboard not always recognized on first boot?

Installed a Lyra 3 and it is a lovely device, but Ive noticed when booting up my A1200, the keyboard I have connected (a random compaq PS2 keyboard) does not always "turn on" with the first boot. Turning off and back on usually fixes it and its infrequent.

Ive checked that the Lyra is firmly installed a few times so I am curious if this is a quirk with some PS2 keyboards, if its something that can happen with the Lyra or if there's something I should look for.
