Odd request - ADFs drag and drop
Is it possible to add the option of being able to drop adf/zipped adf images directly onto the winuae main window (whilst emu is running) and winuae places the adf in df0?
Would make it so much quicker for changing disks.. |

And if is possible for WinUAE to read our minds, so we don't have to worry about disks and stuff...
Great work Toni! Like to see this option back on WinUAE. |

Is this going to be fixed at any point Toni.. it'd be a great feature
And maybe if a qualifier key is pressed too it drops it into another drive (Shift --> DF1 alt --> df2 etc) |

but if i drop a file on the amiga emulated screen, on workbench, what happens to it? does winuae try to assess if it's a adf file and if so mount it? wouldn't be more useful if the file would be copied in the ram: ? so it allows to skip having a windows dir mounted as hardfile to just put in quick lha files like whdload scripts

I was referring to ADF's marco.. simply dropping the adf onto the window ejects the adf in df0: and mounts the new one
Good for workbench or changing disks etc in games |

yeah i know you were sayin' that , but winuae allows you to drag and drop everything on the emulation window (you weren't talking about the GUI, right?) so i assume that after you release the mouse button the program decides that if the drop is an adf, then it will be mounted. i asked what about all of the other files, is it possible to make winuae ask you if it has to copy them on a eventual ram: ?

Proper solution is to emulate removable drive that is mounted automatically when dropping files or archives to emulation window. Unfortunately filesystem code has no real removable drive support and there is not much developer information about it either.. |

I think what Marco means is that if you drag 'n dropped, say, an ascii.txt file, onto the emulation window, could its contents be placed in ram.
