Mouse going to "sleep"
A1200, TF1230, keelog PSU, Indi Mk3, Gotech and a USB Mouse Adapter
All the upgrades to the A1200 are pretty recent. Never had trouble with the USB mouse adapter before but its been recently not working. If I disconnect and reconnect it the mouse works again. If I leave the A1200 for any length of time, it stops working again. My old amiga mouse doesnt have any issues whatsoever - except its a bit shit. I am wondering if my upgrades have pushed my 5v low and the mouse is a victim? or is that a stupid idea? |

Hi Lama
 The same Mouse worked before the Upgrades ? (dont know youre PSU) A optical Mouse ? Maybe the Psu is to weak now ? About that "sleep" thing. That sounds familiar to me. You see, i have a new optical Mouse that does exact the same thing. It goes into a "rest" more after some time. Same happends when i use this mouse on Linux & Co. This "Feature" is inside the Mouse so to Speak. On Amiga, i had to press the Right Mouse Button to wake the mouse up again ; while on Linux & Co a simple Mouse Movement was enough. Thats maybe down to the adapter we are using on the Amiga, i dont know. You could use another adapter of course, OR just use a different Mouse  All the best, Torti

I swapped out the USB adapter for a PS2 and the problem went away - not sure what the problem was in the end though.

If the adapter is this one https://amigastore.eu/741-usb-mouse-adapter.html then it needs external power to work reliably.
