Question about batteries. Should i be worried?

Hi. I've heard about battery leaks but i'm not sure what models the batteries are on and where they are?

I have an upgraded A1200 NOS recapped recently
an old A600 with meg upgrade recently refurbished and recapped
two A500s with half meg upgrades

I cant remember but I thought the A500 didn't have the battery but the A500+ did?

Any info would be great.

Thanks
Tony

Of the wedge models only the A500+ has a battery on the motherboard. Other models might have one on an expansion board (in the trapdoor slot) which includes a real-time clock.

Some later expansions had coin cells, which don't leak as catastrophically as the larger barrel types.
