I am using smb1... but I`m finding that files that are copied locally with the share are unusable . :/
Using Goadf I can mount an image using the share on my pc. If I copy that locally.. and mount it it comes up as NDOS. filesize is the same etc.. :/ |

Hi,
Strange one here, I have 2 A1200, one with a Blizzard 1260 and another with a PiStorm32, both are running OS32, I have the same Miami config on both and have been using the same PCMCIA ethernet network card when swapping between the machines. I am using smb2-handler V53.7 & Filesysbox.library V54.4 On the PiStorm32 machine I have created mount files for shares on my local network and can successfully mount and use these shares. However... On the Blizzard powered machine, using the SAME mount files copied from the PS32, when I try to connect to the same shares, I get authentication errors and they refuse to connect ?! Any idea what could be going on here ? I'm at a loss, as far as I can see there is no noticeable difference in configuration between the 2 machines, it makes no sense to me why the same mountfiles work on onw Amiga but not the other... |

@itsmedoofer
If you get authentication error, I would check the log on the server side. Are you using the same IP address (alternatively, of course) for both the clients? |

Hi,
Quote:
I've been having a play, the error I was getting on the Blizzard was 0xC000006D Status_Logon_Failure... Having a read and it would seem some people have had issues with smb2-handler.020 I tried this myself swapping smb2-handler.020 with smb2-handler.000 , after a reboot I can successfully connect to my shares, with no other changes, problem solved. So for some reason the 020 version of the handler does not want to work on my Blizzard, whereas the 000 version is fine. I'll leave it there, I have a working solution now, if anyone wants to dig deeper though I would be happy to help... |

Glad to hear you solved it.
I have a Blizzard MKIV 1230 as well and I'm pretty sure I'm using the smb2-handler.020 (I'll check that just to be sure) without any issues on a new OS 3.2 install. |

Maybe just an issue with the 060 or the 060 libraries then, still get an issue even with a minimal boot on the Blizzard, so I don't think it is system related. The CPU doesn't get near 100% when transferring so don't think it really matters too much anyway.... |

Password reverts only to the network unit "internal to my system", access to my Router is always protected protected by sophisticated Password ! Not entering the Password is very convenient when you need quick access to the shared network unit ! |

Just started using this and it works great with my NAS. Is there some way to use this for multiple connections?
It appears to only be usable one time. Is there a possibility of running more than one instance so I can connect to 2 different NAS boxes at the same time? |

Of course you can connect to multiple devices. You could make a DOSDriver mountlist for each share i.e.
For myself I made a small DOS script to mount/dismount my shares... Last edited by DJBase; 21 March 2024 at 22:07. |

Sounds great but every time I run a new one it states SMB2 is already mounted.
And on that, is there any easy way to UNMOUNT these? Thanks for the help |
