Pistorm a500 & Pistorm32: Can you VNC?

Just had an idea pop into my head and wondered is it possible?

RealVNC supports the pi: https://www.realvnc.com/en/raspberrypi/

Can this be made to work with the pistorm?

If you are using Musashi (not using Emu68 which does not run linux) then I am sure you could install VNC and X in the minimal RPi Linux that PiStorm runs.

*BUT*

It will of course slow the 680x0 CPU emulation down considerably. The Linux that PiStorm runs is headless, if you add an XServer then you're going to affect memory bandwidth, cpu bandwidth, GPU bandwidth etc.

I have to ask What for?

If you are asking "Are there any Amiga VNC clients?" the answer is yes. They run (like all AmigaOS programs) faster with PiStorm, especially with RTG. There are AmigaOS Remote desktop clients too. See Aminet / Google.

Sure. Or you might run an X-Server for AmigaOS (not sure the state of such things).

For browsers, a "self-hosting" the AmiFox server would cool.
