Hi, Just pay the $46 as i need to calculate the final price for the board (which should be less than the $46. Once i know the final price of the board then any extra monies paid will be deducted from the cost of mailing. Don't worry about it yet. I won't know how much until customs and brokerage fees take their cut. |

Can the entire project not be outsourced to China/Korea for cheap manufacturing (including components)?
A friend of mine used to manufacture PCBs (sometimes including the components required) on large scale, so I can try run this past him if it's something worthwhile for him to invest in. |

not to mention the legal side of things if somebody was to mass produce it , this is a project and it should stay that way.

cheers mate! glad to see you got the SIP video hybrid chip working. sourcing two of those -03' chips was going to be a real pain as I guess only a3k and a500+ mobos had them..

just realised looking over my custom chips, I have the 2mb PAL agnus, but the ntsc clock chip aargh. must double check my amiga500 mobo to see if its clock chip is pal.. for some reason I thought it was an NTSC clock chip.
have not found a source of easy available oscillator chips.. ebay may be best place for those. so too for the 100mhz oscillator to pair with the 50mhz cpu. anyone going to use a 33 or 40mhz mc68030 needs to find a 66mhz or 80mhz osc instead of the 100mhz one, since its clock/2. |

the oscillator for the CPU needs to be twice the speed, so if you want to use a 50mhz 68030, you need a 100mhz oscillator, full size dip can.
40mhz cpu needs 80mhz osc, 33mhz cpu needs 66mhz osc, 25mhz cpu needs 50mhz osc. |

desoldered the osc from my amiga 500 last night. damn, what a bizatch to desolder. solder pads did not want to give. took a lot of work, chip got nice and warm (not too hot to hold or touch) so I wonder if I nuked it or not.
now I'm back to finding a proper pin agnus |
