Nice one

Must head down to "Dreggs" for an auld sausage roll!

I'm fairly familiar with Glaswegian but what on earth does "Weegie" mean? Is this a play on boogie nights? Sorry if this is blatantly obvious.

spoonerism
noun

a verbal error in which a speaker accidentally transposes the initial sounds or letters of two or more words, often to humorous effect, as in the sentence you have hissed the mystery lectures.

Hah - love it!

First of all, I really like the idea, and I think this deserves to be much bigger and polished game. Kudos to all people involved. Loved the atmosphere, the music, the funny graphics... really love the drinking "wave" effects

There's few bugs, like the guy keep walking even if you release button, or try pressing other buttons... oh wait... my computer is rendering in the background, so it must be input delay.. ok forget about that...

Few suggestions:
- When the guy ask you money, and you wanna fight, it would be cool if you could enter some mini game where you could win or lose. Something really simple where you need good reflexes... maybe even game gets harder (faster) the more you are drunk.
- same for above guy when he asks money, maybe an option to offer him a drink (that he can randomly refuse or accept), or become a friend with him, and go together hunting third victim.. or just go have a beer with him.
- I know it's probably a lot of work making small inventory, but it would be cool if you could buy a drinks from the store and sell it to teens (under age) on streets while avoiding cops,, if cop see you, he start running towards you, and you can escape him if you're not too drunk.
- Another way of getting money could be gathering empty bottles from the streets - but very poorly payed.
- some cars running around (again, I know it's a lot's of additional work) could be cool, and the drunker you are, the faster they are, and bigger risk in crossing the street.. similar like old froger game.

I''l stop here.

Once again, amazing job guys, can't wait to see updates.
Keep up the great work!

A lot of those ideas are already on the list of features that we wanted to include, but we ran out of time for the jam. There's a chunk of the graphics redrawing engine that needs to be rewritten, and that should allow for cars, and the fighting interaction could definitely be fleshed out (and the moment it's just random and most times you'll lose).

There'll be updates along the way, thanks everyone for the comments!

Lasted 3:10mins on my first go!

Not a bad night out. Got arrested though. didn't realise I could hassle people for cash!! Only realised towards the end of my tenure on the street. I love the fact Ned wanders about with a feg (translated to English = Fag) hanging out of his mouth the whole time

Give it a bash later on this evening and see what happens!

Anyone else lasted a long time? Into the wee hours perhaps?

Maybe we could eventually have a follow-up to this game called Weegie Mornings - The Hangover?

I was about to ask, can you hang around so long you end up seeing Gusta Coffee open!! Hilarious!

Right well the gauntlet has been thrown down, 15 hours has to be beaten.

See when yer steamin, I thought I was losing my mind as the screen started to distort and Ned was walking all over the place. I soon realised what was happening!

Yep That's the tricky bit really - you need to find a way of getting booze late into the night. There is a night club that stays open late, but after that you have to be pretty well stocked up. There is one other way though... A dodgy guy hiding in one of the alleyways who sells moonshine at any time of the day or night. Apologies, he's even more hidden than he should be due to a rendering bug But he's there somewhere...
