Serial port, parallel port, and pipe device mount errors

I've encountered an unexpected behavior in FS-UAE 2.4 under MacOSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard). When booting AROS Vision under 2.4, the serial port, parallel port, and pipe device mounting expects some parameters that are not present in their mount entries. I haven't changed the install of AROS Vision since FS-UAE 2.2.x so I'm pretty sure the bug is not in AROS. The AmigaOS hardfiles I have seem to still work ok though.

I don't really know anything about this. Perhaps you can get better help if you post more exact error messages (screenshot?).

Maybe you changed the ROM settings? Aros Vision docs clearly say that it needs a true AROS ROM and not the smaller version built into UAE.

After downloading and unpacking the latest AROS Vision version 2.4, pointing the filesystem to the directory, and pointing the kickstart and extended ROMs to AROS_Vision/arch/amiga/aros-rom.bin and AROS_Vision/arch/amiga/aros-ext.bin the problem persists. I have attached a screenshot to show what it looks like.

Among the problems that it COULD be, I unpacked the .zip file using "the Unarchiver" add-on program for the Mac. It asked me for the character set of the file system. I may have chosen the wrong one because I couldn't remember what ISO number the character set used by the Amiga was.

I downloaded the latest AROS Vision, and it boots nicely here...

Regarding character set, the correct one is ISO-8859-1 / "latin1".
