RGB to Component IC

Hi All,

I was trolling the internet again and i found this...

http://www.national.com/ds/LM/LMH1251.pdf

AN IC that converts RGB input and outputs the 3 component signals for mabbe an even better picture. It doesnt look like it needs much support in the way of external components either.

On page 8... after the 33 ohm resistors to the right, are they Caps? wonder what values if they are ?

Whats peoples thoughts, will this work on the miggies ?

@Nathan

The chip is approx $12 each... it looks like it could actually be added to the S-Video board too with not too much effort.

edit: this chip looks to be tiny so may be a tough solder job needed. total length is 0.31 inches... 24 pins... OUCH!!

I think you got it wrong - there is no component output... They would br Pr/Pb/y which are all inputs

This is the other way around. It is a component -> RGB chip

The name should give it away "YPBPR to RGBHV Converter"
