[Request] Flashback CD32 Pad support

According to the manual Flashback supports the Amiga version of the Gravis gamepad with all 4 buttons mapped. Any chances for a proper CD32 pad patch?

Taken from Flashback Amiga manual.

I didn't know about the Gravis Gamepad support

I guess the Escape key could be mapped to PLAY on the CD32 Controller
and Custom5=1 to 7 level select like Pegasus.

Good call Retro-Nerd.

Send a message via MSN to dlfrsilver
gravis gamepad is only on PC. I have 2 at home, amiga is not concerned here ; however, a CD32 mod in slave for flashback would be nice and fine.

No, there is an Amiga Gravis pad too. So assume it works fine with Flashback Amiga.

The English manual only mentions the MegaDrive pad for the Amiga controls (besides keyboard and single button joystick). Is the information about the Amiga Gravis pad in the German version?

Sorry, it seems i've overread the PC section. I've tested a Mega Drive and CD32 pad, both are supported with 2 buttons in the Amiga version.

But there is indeed a Gravis Amiga pad, but obviously only with two separate buttons and maybe two autofire buttons. Can't find a picture of the Amiga version yet.

If the Mega Drive controller was popular enough to have support could they not have supported all buttons?

From Flashback Mega Drive manual.

There is also a cool comic in the manual.

Here a new slave for Flashback which supports the CD32 joypad.
The slave has been completely rewritten, but I have not the time to test the whole game with different versions (5 are supported atm, 2 will be later).
I have added a level selector too.
Code:
CD³² joypad controls:
--------------------
Red - shout, pick-up objects, append, talk...
Blue - extract pistol (Space Bar)
Green - force field (with belt) (Return)
 Yellow - inventory (F1)
Reverse - skip anim sequences (Esc)
Forward - various zoom levels (F8/F9/F10)
 Reverse+Red - 3D in-game sequences on/off (blue flash screen) (CTRL+C)
 Forward+Red - auto zoom on/off (green flash screen) (CTRL+G)
Reverse+Forward+Play	- quit game (pressed at least 1 sec.)

Mmh, there is indeed something wrong. The controls works fine as it seems. But i get different WHDLoad error messages. Sometimes "Slave has not enough chip memory" ingame in level 1. I was just pressing a button on the pad.

"Slave has not enough fast memory" if your try to select level 2 at the splash screen. Crashes with this message just before entering the level. Reproducible every time. Tested with the latest WHDLoad 17.2 beta and the preinstalled German (SPS 0064) and English (SPS 1163) versions.

Edit: Crashes with 17.1 full version too.
Edit2: If you die in Level 1 and you press F1 for continue the game crashes with a "Slave has not enough chip memory" too. Mostly if you reaches the 3-4 screen to the right.

Memory problems are fixed, confirmed. I will test the whole game the next days. Many thanks again for this fine pad patch. Now there is no need to play the also very good Mega Drive version.

The Italian version from the preinstalled game doesn't work with the new 3.3b2 slave.
I get an unsupported/damaged files error, works if I revert back to 3.2.

Also the polish translated version works in v3.2 but not in v3.3b2.
