UAE4All Dingoo A320
Hello ,
I think it's the best place to ask for that , The dingoo A320 is a great little machine , wich can run Linux (called Dingux for the machine) , a lot of emulators have been ported to it via Dingux and lot of them come from GP2X ports , UAE4All exist for the GP2X so if someone could do the port of this emulator for the Dingoo that would be really apreciated !! Thanks in advance for all your comments and help to have amiga games working in this little great thing !! |

I agree that the Dingoo is neat, but I don't really see it as being powerful enough to run UAE at a reasonable level.

I think ST emulator is enough, a lot of games are very similar to Amiga versions.

You really think ST is enough ?
Do you really think it isn't enough powerfull when Gp2x runs UAE4all (200 mhz) , Dingoo can run at 420 mhz... |

I saw what PSP can do with Amiga but maybe with Dingoo it will be better (or not).

Dingoo should emulate the Amiga but it will take time to optimize the next emulator.Btw I don't understand how it is possible to emulate NeoGeo games with decent framerate on Dingoo and however is very hard to emulate the Amiga with a decent framerate.

NeoGeo graphics hardware is quite limited (and thus easily emulated) compared to the versatile custom chips of the amiga (different graphics resolutions, mode switches in one frame, ...). Also the planar to chunky conversion needs lots of processing power. That's why decent NeoGeo emulators are available on lower end hardware (Ps2, etc) while amiga emus are not

I've been looking at the Dingoo for some time, it looks like a fine piece of kit?
The price is amazingly low (£69.99 UK) so I think I'll get it for the older emulated stuff and HOPE a playable Amiga emulator gets coded soon |

.....and this is what they say....... Hi, The best UK price is what we show in the site. You won't be 100% certain to get it for £50, as customs can put 15% VAT on it if they catch it at the airport. That's £57.50 On top of that, you *may* get another 2% for duty, depending on the declaration. You will definitely not get it next-day or 2 working days from DealExtreme. They take at least a couple of weeks in most cases. Some people have been waiting a lot longer than that. And just try getting a repair/replacement/refund if things go wrong... DealExtreme aren't in the USA either - it's a Hong Kong-based company. They also won't give you full support, and they are known to ship Chinese domestic units (basically the ones that failed the quality control and had to be repaired before sale). Our prices are higher because of the high quality after-sales service, higher quality units, and very fast delivery. There are people in the UK selling these for £10 more than us. We are one of the cheapest without cutting corners. Regards, Phil Dingoo Sales VERY interesting response. |

I've dealt with DealExtreme multiple times in the past - as of yet, never had any issues. Recieved a defective DS card once- they quickly sent me a new one, no return necessary.
The only issue is that since everything ships from Hong Kong, there's about a 10 day turnaround. As to the email response you got- what a load of crock. Unless they are sprinkling gold dust on their product, there's no difference that I've been able to see in products I've ordered from DE and other companies- it's all been in the same packaging I've seen elsewhere, often blister-packed or shrink-wrapped. |
