Midnight Resistance (brighter version)

where can I find a brighter version of midnight resistance? just like that one that is in HoL???

LOL, nice request NPI. This game has indeed a very dark colour palette. You have to live with it.

Hi NPI,

I guess you play on a real Amiga right? In WinUAE there is a brightness silder in the display configuration. So you might give it a try for just this one game .

And don't use scanlines in WinUAE, or you don't see nothing.

Check the "Display" tab. It's new since v1.4.2.

You can select contrast in the drop-down box were brightness appears. Put it to max. Then change contrast to gamma and put the slider to 60%. Tested it and it looks much better

To be fair, the arcade original's pretty damn dark, check it out in Mame.

WinUAE brightness, contrast and gamma I suppose. Setting both brightness and contrast fairly high and gamma fairly low gives a quite nice result

but i always assumes HOL screenshots were supposed to be 100% accurate

Remember, Graphics were ported from atari ST, that's why the amiga version lacks luminosity.

yes. which i am investigating how to fix. still doesnt explain the HOL shots.
