Commodore monitor or TV?

I've been using CRT TV's with Scart RGB support for my Amigas for a long, long, time. Can someone tell how do they compare to a real 15khz Commodore monitor?

Depends on the quality of the TV and the condition of the Commodore monitor.

When they were new, and average TV was a lot "fuzzier" than a Commodore 1084s via RGB. The best were almost the same.

Today... probably not even worth trying.

Unless you can find one that hasen't seen much use, which is unlikely. A possible alternative is an LCD TV with RGB Scart, if it can do 50Hz.

I agree with Alex, the 1084 had a better dot pitch on the phosphors than your average TV.

It really was quite a nice 15kHz monitor. :-)
