Original amiga quake (NOT clickboom's )

There was amiga quake conversion before amiga get it own leagally licenced quake.

That was a bigest reason why id software gave to clickboom rights to make amiga port of quake.

Clickboom's amiga port can be downloaded from clickbooms web site

Great

Hi akira you seems to live northern part of finland, because there was 15 decrees cold, here day temperature is about 8 and night temperature is about -2

But I can't found argentina from finland map??

Hyvää tulevaa kesää, äläkä vietä liikaa aikaa ratsastajattaritta

Someone could put to hol that there was unofficial amiga conversion of quake 1997

If somebody is interested I could upload it to zone, and I would be interested to know if someone get it run stable.

Hehehehe, I just nicked that phrase from a book I have always lying around about BASIC, I used it when I was a kid to learn BASIC and I always remember this finnish phrase

I would definitely be interested in trying that, utri.

I remember using a quake ppc version that was released way before the official clickboom quake release..dont remember the release though

I think the info file just said something like "unknown author" or whatever

It worked really good, with mods/network and so on ..

Btw. Did clickboom ever release the "promised" ppc update?

Who needs Clickboom, when there's the best Quake executable by Frank Wille available here: http://devnull.owl.de/~frank/quake_e.html

I played Quake through with this, works great.

Here are some newer versions for those who are curious about pre-Clickboom versions of Quake on the Amiga. Upped to the Zone are QuakePPC V1.01 and CoolQuake V1.41 (presumably for 68K, but untested). Neither are likely to be as good as Frank Wille's ports of Quake, but you have to remember that they date back to 1997/98 and were quick kludges.
