AMIX install woes

The relatively straightforward process documented here:

https://www.amigaunix.com/doku.php/installation

doesn't seem to work.

I've tested the following releases:

3.6.1 - Locked up loading root disk
4.0.0 - Locked up loading root disk
4.0.1 - Locked up loading root disk
4.1.0 - Package installation succeeded, but "Installation kernel patch failed" at the last step
4.2.0 - Package installation failed during "C Development system" with User BUS ERROR/segfault/core dump
4.2.1 - Package installation failed during "Lpp print spooler" with User BUS ERROR/segfault/core dump
4.3.0 - Package installation failed during "X Window System essential components" with User BUS ERROR/segfault/core dump
4.4.0 - Package installation failed during "Uucp networking software" with PANIC: KERNEL FAULT
4.9.1 - Package installation failed during "On-line manual pages" with User BUS ERROR/segfault/core dump
5.0.0b7 - Package installation failed during "System administration utility" with PANIC: KERNEL FAULT

Obviously all of the package installation/cpio failures are essentially random in terms of timing and it could literally be during _any_ package (or not at all, as one extremely lucky user had happen once last year).

Need more details about what machine you are trying to emulate? Amiga 3000 or a Amiga 2000 with 68030 and SCSCI drive?

Apologies - A3000UX (again, following the exact same settings as indicated in the link)

Did you uncheck "More Compatible" option in CPU Panel ?

Installed from scratch using latest beta. Worked fine.

Normal A3000 config (68030 + fastest possible, MMU, 68882), 8M mainboard RAM (16 should also work but not larger).

Note that (as was already said): More compatible MUST be off (and it makes no sense in this case anyway, it would only make emulation much more slower).
