PSU questions
Hi there, I am currently in need of a new PSU for a Vampired Amiga 600 as my old one gave up the ghost. Are Goliath PSU's any good? as there are a couple on ebay... any sugestions?

I'd go down this route (in fact, I am, the Meanwell PSU is in the post)

The only hard part to locate these days is the square DIN plugs, and those are available on Amibay without too much effort. Alternatively you could always buy a failed Amiga PSU and cut the cord. |

Indeed, the specs on the website pretty much exactly match the specs of the Meanwell RPT-60B (also available from Digikey). Not that that's a bad thing - the RPT-65 is a unit I've used myself to build Amiga PSUs for people.

I think i have dropped a clanger - I ordered 65C by mistake and didnt realise until I had assembeled it - will it work or will 15v? be too much? I feel so stupid I dont know how i have made such a mistake.

I wouldn't use it to be honest. It *might* work, since +/-12V are only used for essentially analogue circuitry on the serial and audio parts of the board, but they'll be running beyond the design so you could be shortening their lives considerably. Also, it's unusual for a floppy drive to require 12V, but some older ones to use it, and they're not likely to be happy on 15V.

Is the connector a standard one you can buy off the shelf? Anyone got a part number?

It's a square DIN connector. They're not regularly available any more but there are people selling new old stock out there. Check Amibay.
