in 1024x768x32 ARGB colour is odd note that it works, but, must be almost out of VRAM as the window gadgets are missing and pull down menus do not work. I seem to remember that the cv64/3d reserves 1 mb VRAM for textures unless told not to, i could be wrong. Last edited by abu_the_monkey; 30 November 2022 at 20:29. |

Hi to all,
under suggestion of James and Thellier i had do other test with StormMesa_Libs68K.lha 3.1 form aminet and without 3d Card the openGL/demo run always. I don't find setting (that function) that force use 3d hardware. If anything have tips for resolve a problem thanks a lot. For now come back a 2.5b version , that must need 3d hardware. htt*p://aminet.net/util/libs/StormMesa2010.lha Main Thread Update. |

You need to set Env variable MESA/FAST 1 or VERYFAST 1 to force mesa demos to run on the hardware but note that they will look bad if the hardware doesn't support the functions natively.
Also, Perspective mapping fix confirmed working with warp3d apps with cgxv4. Should make any working software look correct now. But I still get that annoying Hpos = crash after a few seconds of 3D. Descent Warp3D version working now as well. Although I think the Virge version with cybervirgin.library runs better. Last edited by Mad-Matt; 11 October 2020 at 20:16. |

Use only Picasso 96 driver, Cybergraphics don't working for now.
S3 virge need 15 bit resolution for work in 3D, if not possible select 15bit display, upon suggestion fo Toni Willen edit sysrefs/env-archive/picasso96/showmodes and set single string "All" without quotes. Update Main Thread. |

I think real cv64/3d was supporting only one (or none?) pixel format for 32 bits so ARGB not working seems normal
What is strange is why ARGB is available Beware that using a screen 1024x768x32 screen almot use all the VRAM so should use a smaller screen for 3d progs If prog got many textures should use a very small screen at 15 bits like perhaps 320x240 Last edited by thellier; 11 October 2020 at 20:27. |

CybergraphX v4 is already running ok.
Ill just note that it only seems to work in ZorroIII mode. I haven't got a display when selecting ZorroII even when swapping the driver with the ZorroII version. However, showcgxconfig shows product id as 8512/67 which I believe is for the card being in ZorroII mode. and Zorro III should show 8512/50. Needs confirmation from a real machine really. UAE and driver is setup for ZorroIII mode. Payback PPC 3D version running although this combination is a slideshow as there seems to be a huge bottleneck going on in the emu. I havent got far in 68k version due to HPos crash everytime I try. Last edited by Mad-Matt; 12 October 2020 at 23:07. |

Seems very slow : I can see "9 fps" for starshipw3d on your grab ... so only 1530 triangles per second :-( Does cow3d confirms that low rate ? |

Cow3D is very slow, while StarshipW3D is very smooth with Picasso 96. With Cybergrafx V4 Cow3D don't start.

, I've not done any tests with P96. I'm also using an emulated accelerator card CyberstormPPC, alhough it is the same with the 68k only MK3. (NoJit) There does seem to be a huge bottleneck with this combination. I'm sure ill get told off for using this completely unsupported combination at this time though Cow 3D shows 0 Fps and looks it. Hi Turrican3, i can't is possible because the CBV64/3D was Zorro III or ZorroII and compatible with Amiga 2000/3000/4000 htt*p://amiga.resource.cx/exp/cybervision643d while the Video Card CyberBisionPpc or BlizzardVision can plugged directly in mk3 (i don't sure is possbile with mk2). htt*p://amiga.resource.cx/exp/cybervisionppc htt*p://amiga.resource.cx/exp/blizzardvision |

CyberStorm MK2? The Cybervision CV64/3D was a separate zorro card. I have both in my A4000.

@Mad-Matt
Would you Copy and Paste or attach your A4K CSPPC config? Picasso96 or P96, CGX4? I am Not at all able to repeat your screen shots. 2 days now..I cannot repeat. All I get locks with Window Mode or Not Enough Memory with OS 3.1, 3.5.. Many combos attempted. Shouldn't be required. Appreciate it. |
