aGTW New Year Update

aGTW was updated yesterday but I didn't get a chance to post about it.

The big news is that Nico (x_to) has joined the team and has come up with No Buddies Land and a full version of In Shadow of Time!

There are also demos of Fatal Noise, AMRVoxel, FratzenGeballer and Alchemy.

Happy Woooooow!

Great job! Fantastic news No Buddies Land has come to the surface on the Amiga. I remember from screenshots of the Atari ST version the graphics in each level are very varied.

Happy new year to y'all by the way...

Great work guys. 2006 was a great year for uncovering lost games.

Now who's gonna convert it to an adf that can be played on real hardware

i´ve never thought that there is so much interest...

but this give me enough motivation to hunt for more unreleased games...

HOL has finally been updated too about NBL. (I was told to not do it until the game is published )

Well, so we have one already known developer here! (at least one )
Hans van de (or van den) Munckhof! He also did Ice Crack for Amigo! game mag.

Hooooo Look at that end-of-game baddie in NBL!

Just saw the screenshots of No Buddies Land at AGTW. The end-of-level baddie, a wizard, is also the logo of a Dutch hardcore-gabber label/CD series called "Thunderdome".
You can see the logo for example at this site.

It makes me wonder who inspired who. Both NBL and the first edition of "Thunderdome" are from 1992 and by Dutch artists. Now this would be an interesting question for the Q&A section at AGTW.

Good morning

I´d like to see a WHDload version of "No buddies Land" and "Fatal Noise" Demo.

So, if some WHDload coders have some free time....Many thanks in advance!

Hooooo 1991?

Was NBL released in '91 on Atari ST? I did not know that. The Amiga version had a review in gamesmagazine Amiga Joker in April 1992.

Nevertheless I am curious who inspired who with the Thunderdome wizard.

Who said I wasn't? This is awesome!!!

Yet I thought that especially calephar would interest you as it is full version.
Also, shenandoah would fit well in...

Thunderdome?

Nice findings Tim!

BTW, I still *have* that first volume you mentioned!
Incredibly I had indeed listened to that kind of chaos-music in the early 1990s!

Yeah the good old THUNDERDOME ! I listened to every new edition of THUNDERDOME and RAVE THE CITY till 1993. Than I changed completly to UK HAPPY HARDCORE.
But I still love a lot of dutch hardcore. someone remembers ROTTERDAM TERMINATION SOURCE and their kickin POING tune ? Aaaaahhh awesome bouncy stuff.
When there is any connection between NBL and THUNDERDOME, I think the game music would be a bit hardcore influenced. Butit isn`t.
